A course on Multi-Agent Systems, by Dr. Manshaei at IUT

For the first time in IUT, a course on multi-agent systems is being presented by Dr. Manshaei. The course, seen as a much-anticipated sequel to Dr. Manshaei's popular course "Foundations of Game Theory for Computer and Electrical Engineering", is an extension of his introductory course in game theory. The syllabus is largely based on Yoav Shoham and Kevin Leyton-Brown's eponymous canonical text. The aim of this advanced course is to provide students with state-of-the-art algorithms as well as a rigorous mathematical treatment of many previously discussed subjects, including normal-form games, dynamic games, repeated game, and Bayesian games. This forms the first section of the course, namely, "Non-cooperative Game Theory". The bulk of the course discusses completely new concepts. The second section covers the concept of "Learning" and the third "Communication". "Protocols for Groups" are discussed in the fourth section and finally "Coalitional Game Theory" is discussed in the last section of the course. A brief treatment of "Logical Theories" would serve as an epilogue to the course.
